Alexina Anatole

Alexina is a Writer, Cook and Presenter and regular supper club host, based in London.

Born in Brighton but growing up in Paris and London, Alexina’s mixed heritage (Cambridgeshire Chicken Farmers and Saint Lucian Windrush Generation) and upbringing drove her passion for flavour and food.
After reading English at Cambridge, she started a career on a trading floor in the City. After years of watching MasterChef she decided to take the plunge and entered herself for the show in 2021, becoming a finalist, and used this at the catalyst to change her career from finance to food.
Her debut cookbook, Bitter, is the first in a series on the 5 tastes and was released by Penguin in September 2023 to critical acclaim from the likes of Nigella, Waterstones and Rukmini Iyer.

Alexina has also appeared in a variety of shows including BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and Radio 4’s The Food Programme, as well as social media platforms including MOB and TopJaw and regualrly returns to guest judge on BBC’s MasterChef.

Beyond the books and television work, Alexina runs sell-out events, including Sel, London’s most intimate supper club, and Cocoa POP, a chocolate-themed pop-up with chocolatier Octavia Lamb.

Her second cookbook, Sweet, will be released in February 2025
